My gf uncle (he’s 82) just sold his three Porsche’s. All one owner. The models

1958 speedster ( this was the one that made the car show rounds the same ones )

1960 porsche 356b roadster

1964 356 c

He told me the coupe  has fiberglass body work done and pretty bad condition but running. The other 2 all original and running. Plus he sold the 58 with and I quote BOXES of parts.

So I know he could afford these as he’s been president of a good company forever. He has 3 kids and none of them wanted them. His wife died about 6 months ago and he decided to sell. I know I can’t afford even one without a 2nd mortgage but he’d never tell me a selling price. Well the last one went a couple weeks ago.

Any idea on pricing or hear anything about these cars or going to auction????

He’s being quiet with family.

HNNNGG they’re all over the place. They can be worth a lot, but will can also take an eye watering amount to get that grade A price. 

Value: quite a bit to alot.

I agree. I figure the speedster 500k. The convertible $200ish. And the coupe $50 to $100k

My uncle had a variety of old Dart wagons, Valiants, etc. in various conditions ... several were quite good though . I had sort of hoped to have an opportunity to get one from him, but family dynamics were such when he passed away that I didn’t even know for 3 months or so.

He also, for a while, had a slant-6 drag race car that was famous in that little corner of the automotive universe... I saw it when I visited him in ‘05 but have no idea where that went.

Thanks for sharing that. Makes me kind of misty-eyed. I wonder how Grandma felt about the cars and I wonder about beginning to feel old and shed the trappings of a younger life.
